Choosing bedroom rugs
Soft rugs for bedrooms — under the bed, either side or at the foot.
Place a 155 × 230 cm rug across the lower two-thirds of a double bed, a 200 × 300 cm rug under a king, or two small rugs either side. Softer fibres such as chenille, microfibre and viscose feel lovely underfoot in low-traffic bedrooms. See our rug size guide for room-by-room advice. Delivery is free on every order. What size rug goes under a double bed?
155 × 230 or 160 × 230 cm placed across the lower two-thirds of the bed, leaving the bedside tables off the rug.
Should I choose a washable rug?
For busy rooms, homes with pets or children, a washable rug is the most practical choice. Our designer washable rugs are printed polyester chenille on a woven cotton backing and can be machine washed at 30°C on a gentle cycle — air dry flat and follow the care label.
